Nutrigenomics enables us to see right down to our genetic blueprint
and take action to support optimal health.

Nutrigenomics is a scientific discipline that studies the relationships between our genes, nutrition and health. Your nutrigenomics evaluation will be based on your personal genetic data, previously collected by 23andMe or Ancestry.com, in combination with the Puregenomics medical platform. What’s great about mapping your genes is that you only have to do it once. Once you have your genetic profile, it is yours and it never changes. What does change, however, is the expression of your genes. That’s where the power is. If we know what SNPs (mutations) we have that we don’t want expressed, we can use diet and lifestyle to mitigate the risks and enhance outcomes.
My personal story on Nutrigenomics: how I offset undesirable genes with diet and supplementation
I have a SNP that causes vitamin A to be inefficiently metabolized. I had previously noticed that my night vision was changing but had chalked it up to the aging process and made sure my supplement protocol had eye support. My nutrigenomic report identified the precise SNP among many genes that code for eye support antioxidants. This knowledge enabled me to make a focused nutritional intervention that will change my long-term outcome.
Another example with no obvious symptoms has to do with methylation genes of which I have SNPs in both pairs. The problem with methylation genes is that they affect many biological processes and having SNPS doesn’t necessarily give you a red flag symptom. The SNPs just broadly accelerate the aging process. It turns out all of my grandparents died in their 60s for a variety of reasons. How great is it to know this information so that I can fully correct it just with diet and supplementation.
I am a huge believer in nutrigenomics and invite you to utilize this great health improvement tool.
The evaluation covers genetic SNPs affecting 9 important areas of health:
Vitamins, minerals & omega-3s
Detoxification
Glucose metabolism
Metabolic and weight management
Cognitive health & memory
Energy & fitness
Immune health
Cardiovascular health
Gastrointestinal health
Only SNPs that are well researched, relevant, and responsive to changes in diet and lifestyle are included in the evaluation. There is no need to feel concerned about unwanted “surprises.” We will have an actionable answer to all SNPs in the report.
Your evaluation includes a thorough review of your SNPs as well as how they might be showing up symptomatically in you or other family members. Keep in mind that our bodies are wonderfully made with many safeguards and redundancies in genetic material so that function is maintained and preserved.
Your evaluation will include nutritional and lifestyle recommendations specific to your genetic SNPs. This is the key to optimizing your genetic expression.
As more genetic research accumulates and we learn about new SNPs, your report will be constantly updated. You will be notified as this happens with the new genes and new nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.
A Nutrigenomics evaluation allows us to create a nutritional and lifestyle plan that is unique to you. It’s the key to unlocking your fullest health potential with the right nutritional support.
